Dr. Masterson’s experience and clinical interests include male sexual and reproductive medicine: erectile dysfunction and penile prosthesis, Peyronie’s disease, testosterone deficiency, cancer survivorship, male infertility and fertility preservation, among others. He is a trained microsurgeon for treatment of varicocele, sperm extraction, and vasectomy reversal.
Dr. Masterson grew up in Wayne, PA. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he majored in International Business and Finance and was a four-year member of the varsity rowing team. He completed his pre-medicine coursework at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Masterson received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. After residency Dr. Masterson completed his fellowship in Andrology and Male Infertility at New York Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the guidance of Drs. Marc Goldstein, James Kashanian and John P. Mulhall in New York, NY.
Dr. Masterson has been a productive researcher throughout his career and has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles. He has presented multiple research projects at the American Urological Association (AUA), Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) annual meetings.
